I completely love my new career as a personal trainer! My passion in life has always been to help people learn to keep their minds and bodies healthy. I love to see the determination in my clients eyes when they come in for their sessions, it makes me excited to be the one they come in to see to get that body in shape and healthy! We all know that diet and exercise are important. I believe that diet comes first however. What you eat keeps you alive. No one can go without food. Having an awareness of what your are eating vs. how much you are moving will be the determining factor in your ultimate goal of becoming healthy and losing that unwanted body weight. The whole point of working out is to burn what you consume throughout your day. If you are eating foods that are hard to burn off, obviously, getting to that goal you have set for yourself will certainly be a bigger challenge. You will be fighting an uphill battle. You owe it to yourself to give YOU the upper hand. You can eat fruits and veggies anytime you want to help curb your hunger and keep your energy up throughout the day. If eating them raw bores you, or just plain makes you want to run the other way, try something new! Throw that beautiful pineapple you bought on the grill! Drizzle your apple with a little honey, or some yummy peanut butter. Prefer veggies? Grill 'em! To me, there's nothing like BBQ'd food... meat, fruits or veggies, there's something about that grill that makes me wanna throw everything on it! Just remember, the point of a snack is to take that hunger away, while at the same time, not defeating all the hard work and sweat you've put into reaching your fitness goals.
I am beginning this blog to show my clients luv! I CARE about your success and health.
I WANT for you to have a forum to reach me, as well as discuss with each other your ideas, tips, and questions. I want to be able to reach you on our days off from our sessions. I want you to come HERE when you want great exercises to do while you're on vacation, at home, or at the gym on one of our off days! Who else knows where you're at better than you and me?
I intend to add exercises on this blog weekly. Especially now that it's summer and everyone is taking some much needed time to indulge in some R&R. I will add a mixture of many different styles of exercise. I will add yoga poses as well. Yoga will help you bring your mind and body together into balance. That is what we search for in our lives.... balance. Where better to start that from the inside, out? It is VERY important for your mind to be in tune with your body.
Tomorrow I will be adding on 2 or 3 exercises for you to do while you are away from me. And rest assure, I will be asking if you are doing them! :-) Great communication and accountability will get us everywhere my friends!
I am super excited to get this blog out to all of you. I hope you use and abuse it! I will post at least 1 or 2 entries a week. Just remember this, your body is your vessel in this life, and it is up to you to give it all the luv it needs.
Until next time!
Trainer Amber
